The organized unit of the United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Membership in United Methodist Women (UMW) is open to any woman who desires to participate in the local and global mission of the church. The four mission areas around which UMW programs and projects should be planned are: Christian Personhood, Supportive Community, Christian Social Involvement and Christian Global Concerns.
Making a pledge to UMW is a personal choice and commitment. Pledges are made on an annual basis and are used to support the various missions and expenses listed in the Crievewood UMW budget.
