Children are a vital and welcome part of all worship services at Crievewood. The Gathering offers food for families’ souls, as well as food for their stomachs. Come enjoy a light breakfast, and worship as a family. Fellowship beings at 8:15am in the Fellowship Hall, and child care is available for children ages 2 and under. Service starts at 8:30am.
In the 10:45am traditional service, we provide a Kids’ Worship experience for ages 3 years-5th grade downstairs in our children’s wing. We include the elements of the worship service, but in a more kid-friendly and teaching format. The first Sunday of every month we worship together upstairs in the traditional service so we can see what we’ve modeled downstairs in action.
Children also participate in Worship services as acolytes or liturgists. Training is offered each year for children in 4th through 6th grade. Acolytes assist the pastor with the different elements of worship, including communion and the bringing in of the light. Liturgists assist in the worship service, reading scripture or leading responsive readings.
